Lovers, Spouses and Secret Admirers!

From the silent type to the fluent conversationalist, we, at LBMgifts, speak your language? the language of love.

On Valentine?s Day, we want to remember all our significant someone(s) at home, at work or school and in our social circle. Playing Cupid, so soon after the holiday season, can be tough on your budget. But like other gift giving occasions, you should set a limit (as hard as it may be to put a price tag on love!) and make your list, starting with your significant other and kids, followed by close family members, your dearest friend(s) and those who have gone out of their way to save the day or make your life a bit easier.

Diamonds and rubies, sapphires and emeralds? all good. But, you might find that they are out of your price range this year for most people on your list. From trinkets to treasures, ?think out of the (shiny, lacy heart shaped) box?! Expressions of love and appreciation come in many shapes and sizes, so you don?t have to settle for the proverbial (and commercial) chocolates or (obscenely overpriced) bouquet of roses.

Instead, sweep up your Valentine(s) with sublime gifts that don?t wilt or tip the scale and will be appreciated by most anyone long after the 14th has past. Besides, your recipient would probably prefer to wear your gift on her ears, neck or wrist than on her hips or thighs (with, perhaps, the exception of a warm soft robe or exquisite lingerie)!

Here’s a quick, comprehensive list of ideas and tips as you shop for the perfect gift for HER:

AFFORDABLE JEWELS

~Handmade, semi-precious jewelry with mixes of amethyst, garnet, peridot or citrine in earrings and delicate pendant necklaces.

~Sterling silver pieces featuring words or symbols including karma, love, peace and inspirational phrases on cuff bracelets and coin shaped charm necklaces.

~Trendy jewelry like big earrings, chunky bracelets and statement necklaces.

(Guy Advice: When selecting big earrings, make sure they are not too heavy. All earrings should be finished with NICKEL FREE hooks or wires to prevent allergic reactions.)

MUST-HAVE ACCESSORIES

Fashionable bags in all sizes. Color is the new black, and leather-like materials make the price right.
Choose from many in style looks, such as:

~ oversized bags (We love Big Buddha bags)
~ reuseable totes in vibrant prints ( Going Green is always in style)
~colorful and functional wallets

(Guy advice: Trust your instincts when making your selection, and, if you don?t, find a knowledgeable salesperson. Include a gift receipt, so she?ll be happy either way.)

MAKES GOOD SCENTS

Aromatherapy takes the edge off a stressful day.
Give scented gifts, such as:

~ room diffusers?they fragrance a room without flames and last for months.
~ scented soy candles ? they burn clean and smell delightful
~ fine soaps and body lotions and, don?t forget, her favorite perfume.

(Guy Advice: Unless she?s actually allergic to fragrance, every woman likes to smell and to smell something good.)

COMFORTABLY COZY

Soft, pretty and comfortable treats, such as:

~ luxuriously soft robes ( Baby, it?s (still) cold out there) ,
~ exquisite lingerie
~ pretty slippers
~ lavender pillows and neck wraps.

BEAUTIFUL HOME

Pretty details for the home, such as:
~ decorative frames (with a photo of you, both of you or the kids)

(Guy advice: Go the distance? find a decent picture, bring it to the store or email to us, and we?ll put it in before wrapping)

Unusual entertaining pieces like:

~ beautiful handpainted trays and bowls in all sizes, embellished serving pieces.

(Guy Advice: Note the word ?entertaining?– that means not for every day utilitarian use?that means no irons, bread boxes, coffee makers or vacuums)

Now you are armed and ready with all the advice and ideas you need to look like a hero and enjoy a wonderful Valentine?s Day with yours. Finally, be sure your gift is wrapped to the nines. Presentation is everything, and this is never more true than on Valentines. Like it or not, details count big on this occasion?so on that note, a last piece advice?
No matter how much you spend, DON’T FORGET THE CARD!
